About Liz

From engineer to leadership development expert

Liz established Integrative Leadership Strategies, LLC in 2006 to follow her passion for supporting leaders in being more effective without losing authenticity. She felt a yearning to serve organizations needing lasting leadership development that got real results while bringing more humanity to the workplace.

Liz completed her coach training in 2008 (way before coaching was cool) at Coach U, Inc., a leading global provider of coach training programs. She took a leap of faith and left her engineering day job, vowing to return to corporate America to help leaders develop and change what hadn’t worked for her. Liz’s mission is to help organizations become a sanctuary for learning and truth.

Liz spent five years developing leaders with The Collaborative Operating System, giving leaders a comprehensive toolkit for team and organizational development using the principles of shared commitment and shared understanding, instead of leading with ‘command and control.’

In order to ‘sharpen the saw’ and up-level her coaching certification, in 2020 Liz completed a second round of coach training at the NeuroLeadership Institute.

Liz has coached, trained, and consulted with clients from around the world, many from technical industries. As one of her clients puts it, Liz’s special power is turning a group of loosely collected people into a high-performing team.

Liz has earned the credential of Professional Certified Coach through the International Coaching Federation (ICF), while also serving many years in leadership on her local ICF’s board of directors.

Liz is a native of Upstate New York and holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Cornell University, as well as an M.S. in Structural Engineering from Stanford University. She is the mom of two young children who keep her humbly grounded in reality.

Liz would rather talk about you than herself!
